Katarina Thorsen, BSc (“Kat”) is a professional artist and art therapist living and working in Vancouver, Canada.
As a veteran art therapist, Kat is passionate about the therapeutic power of art. She works with clients who face behavioral challenges, learning disabilities, substance abuse problems, and mental health issues (specializing in at-risk youth).
As a working artist, Kat continuously produces unforgettable works for sale, exhibition, and as an artist-for-hire. Her extensive catalogue includes drawings, paintings, portraits, and an extremely popular line of sock animals.
Kat shares her artistic skills by hosting customizable workshops for individuals, groups, and corporations. Artists of all skill levels can benefit from Kat’s teachings. Kat also hosts unique interactive art parties (art-based, event enhancement services available to anyone), and is producing a graphic novel based on her research into Vancouver’s most notorious unsolved murder mystery.
Whether art therapist or artist-for-hire, Kat is a one-of-kind soul who enriches not only the artistic skills of her clients, but their lives as well. Please contact Kat to discuss your artistic needs.
